I went to my first LLMD appt. on wednesday. He's starting me on amoxicillin 500 mg 3x daily for 2 weeks then 2 3x daily. I see most start with doxy. He explained that because I ride bike alot doxy would be bad because of the sun burn. Has anyone else started with amoxicillin? Can you herx on it? How soon can I expect it, if I do herx?

High dose amoxy has been a great drug for me. I'm currently taking 1000mg three times a day with minocycline and flagyl.

I didn't take doxy til about three years into treatment. You absolutely have to stay out of the sun on doxy.

I didn't herx on amoxy.
