I am actually taking a product that my ND recommended from the rain-tree site. I am not testing positive for it but have had "chronic gastritis" for over 3 yeras just confirmed again on an endoscopy.
She felt based on my symptoms that she needs to treat it.
Can the Mastic Gum be taken with abx? I'm on abx for Lyme and babs right now so just wondering if it all can be taken together?

I never tested positive for it either, but none the less, I had the infection.

I would run one of the triple med protocols for 3-4 weeks to make sure you're nailing it down.
As WC mentioned, Amoxy + Biaxin + a proton pump inhibitor should do the trick.

Yes you can take mastic gum with anything, it comes from the trees on chios island Greece, and can help kill the bacteria in some people.
Usually the most common, and easiest treatment is Biaxin/Amoxicillin/prevacid, I would definitely do that, it will kill Lyme too.
Some people have luck with bismuth a.k.a pepto bismol tab lets (8 per day) with ranitidine a.k.a Zantac 150 mg.
After you kill the infection with the antib iotics, you can use things like DGL (Deglycyrrhizinated licorice) or Carafate (a prescription med) that coasts the inside of your stomach allowing it to heal. Carafate is benign and helpful, although it is hard to take because it has to be one hour before food and away from meds or 3 hours after food.

So symptoms can get worse while treating? Everytime I take these drops I am so so sick to my stomach. Feels like bloating, burping, burning, etc. Not comfortable.

It is called Amazon C-F drops from rain tree. It is what my ND uses for hpylori but it seems to be making things worse. Perhaps since I already have gastritis? I didn't take them today.

The HP triple therapy is not hard. You take Amoxy/Biaxin/proton-pump inhibitor for a few weeks and you're done (usually). Effectiveness percentages are up over 90 generally. You can't be certain what the drops are doing.

My gastro doc has prescribed a 10-day course of an abx called Xifaxan for me. I've only done this twice, and did it a few years apart.
They tested me with the "breath test" gadget before and after..........worked like a charm. The Xifaxan knocked it out by taking it 1x/day for 10 days.
This abx ONLY works on your gut, nothing else. Don't ask me scientifically how THAT works, but it certainly made me feel a lot better and got rid of the HP easily (for me.)
Also, taking the probiotic VSL#3 twice/day has worked wonders. It just seems to help everything!
It's worth checking with your doctor, in my opinion. It's about the only quick, easy, successful tx for any of this junk we have to deal with!
Again, it worked for ME..........and everyone is different. I always like to know about possible choices for different issues. Just passing along my results when I used this tx for HP.
Let us know if you try it and how it works, okay? Good luck!
Take care, terri3boys

I have to say, the C-F drops are most likely NOT going to do anything to kill h.pylori. You have to use the real treatment for it, usually Amox/Biaxin/Prevacid for 2 weeks.
You can also use Tetracycline/Flagyl/Ranitidine
the first combo generally works better.
Sometimes it takes a second or third round of triple or quadruple therapy to get rid of it.
It took me 6 months to get over that beast. ....
FYI C-F drops...Ingredients: A proprietary blend of cat's claw, culen, amor seco, cumaseba, fedegoso, pico preto, mullaca, clavillia, simarouba, Brazilian peppertree, gervo, ajos sacha, and bitter melon extracted in distilled water and vegetable glycerine.
Used for some herbal Lyme protocols, not h.pylori.

I don't even know if I have it but she seems to think that even if I'm testing negative, my symptoms say otherwise. Have had stomach issues for YEARS getting worse each day it seems.
Can someone tell me the defining symptoms of it?
I guess I need to find a way to get the antibiotics that you guys are talking about. She is an ND and can't prescribe them. My LLMD doesn't think I have h pylori since I tested negative via an endoscopy biopsy and won't treat based on symptoms. **sigh**
I feel just awful.
