Sadly, one of the weaknesses of many LLMD's is in the area of detox and supplements.
Dr. Jernigan has a very good book titled, "Beating Lyme Disease" by David Jernigan. He talks about this and provides recipes for detoxing. This is one of the most important things you can do for yourself and it's good you are asking about it.
Here's Dr. Jernigan's bath detox recipe:
* 4-6 cups Epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulfate).
* 32-64 fluid oz Hydrogen Peroxide (3%, as found in grocery store).
* 2-4 Tablespoons of Ginger (fresh grated) wrapped in a thin piece of cheese cloth or in a tea ball. (An old piece of nylon hose also works well.)
Instructions:
* Dry Skin Brush entire body with a natural bristle brush for five minutes before bath. This removes the layer of dead skin for better absorption. You start with the feet working upwards, hands move towards shoulders, torso upwards toward the heart, back upwards and over shoulders towards heart. Light pressure in areas where skin is thin, and harder pressure on places like soles of feet.
* Fill the bath tub with WARM water. Then add Epsom Salt, Hydrogen Peroxide and Ginger "ball". Swirl water around, then get in the tub for 20 minutes.
Here's the foot detox recipe:
Stir into warm (not hot) water... to cover just above the ankles:
1 T. dry mustard seed powder 1 t. cayenne pepper powder 1/2 t. dry ginger powder 1/2 t. dry rosemary powder
Dr. Jernigan says that this foot soak is used as relief from general aches, pains and toxic headaches. He also says that it seems to increase blood and lymph circulation.
Soak your feet for 20-30 minutes and if you'd like you can do this with your hands in the same water for the same amount of time.
There's four formulas of Neuro-Antitox ll. Picked the one that best fits your symptoms. These are very mild detox remedies and. For me, I did not experience difficult herxes on them. Some people do, but I didn't. I had ammonia (toxin) in my brain which is no longer an issue I'm dealing with now.
I'm sure others will be posting their favorite detox suggestions soon. Oh, be sure to take Milk Thistle for liver support. I'm sure Keebler will be around soon to post some great detox remedies that are recommended for us lymies. Detox, detox, detox--very important!

Thank you very much Gary . I think people that know detox will help us alot if they put together best ideas that new patients can do to detox in the top of the page .
Because a lot of us are left alone by LLMD or dont have money to pay Dr.for detox and cant move forward without detox in our jurney.

Purchase the package online..."the detox box", by Dr. Mark Hyman of the Canyon Ranch...(he also wrote Ultra prevention)
The detox box...is an in depth body detox...with a CD. Very inexpensive...I ordered mine as a used copy...about $4.00 online..shipping was more!
Step by step guide. Comes in a little box...with PLaying cards sized cards...and a CD to listen to to help you mentally prepare for the detox. Gives you info on how to get off coffee with no bad side effects before starting the detox as an example...Gives suggestions of choosing the best timing inyour life to begin this committment and to choose who long you will want to do this for your best effect and healing. Best detox "hand holding" I have seen besides here on lymenet.
This does not include heavy metal detoxing...(do that with a MD) but this only has the basic initial body/blood/ intestinal cleanse/ information, on what to take and when...and what to do. I highly recommmend this.
Very helpful for the first timers. comes with individual cards...that you leave around your house, in your kitchen for reminders of what to do...as well as specific yoga exercises, and online options for purchasing the basic products yourself, rather than buy a kit with products that may be on the shelf and over priced.

Thank you very much Light. Do you know by the chance how much the cost of all of it will be if I purchase everything I need for detox.

Not sure the cost...but best to purchase the products way before planning to start the protocol.
I did purchase a good blender to make some of the smoothie/shakes in the program. I bought a very good quality one that pulverises comlete fruits and veggies...and I still use this weekly!
I recall it is way less than the supplements I bring home from my LLMD....
YOu can look up the ingredients on line...when you get the booklet and cd...
Also, I think amazon.com may have some information on the comments about the detox box that may list the supplies needed...you can estimate and research by that.
It is not real expensive as I bought everything at the local health food store.
I did purchase the specific brands recommended as the quality is pure and ingredients were fresher than other things that come already boxed in detox sets.

Foot baths alone are not enough to detox...they should be done in conjunction with an internal detox that pushes some toxins out the pores or out the feet.
Detox baths, and infrared sauna, and lymph massage, and dry brushing are all complements to the internal detox protocols. They help pull out the toxins that were already released with the internal detox.
Regular exercise, yoga helps move things via lymph...etc...and the other complemetary things mentined above help pull out what the exercise moved.
so do detox internally (like the Detox Box...) then exercise...with added heat and movement massage the skin or brush the skin (skin is an organ) This brings internal movement of toxins through kidney (urine) and liver (feces) then draw the toxins out via the skin and feet as well.
Thats basically how it works...
A foot detox alone does not do much to give you better health. But they are beneficial done with the other deeper cleanse and detox.

gary-glad the baths work for you. im sure they do work for some as many people swear by them.
i basicly do nothing for detox. i drink lots of water and my job is fairly active so i get some exercise as well.
i almost always feel better within moments of eating or going to the bathroom (either or). thats what makes me think my sick feeling are a result of toxins.
