I used LapCorp and all my results were negative for all the co-infections. Im alittle worried about this and would like to get retested. I called Igenex and they are way too expensive. I cant afford $660.00. Does anyone know of another lab they used that is better at detecting co-infections???

No, I don't know of any other lab. LabCorp testing is basically worthless. You really want Igenex testing to find out what coinfections you have.
Igenex is a tick borne disease speciality lab. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for.
Otherwise, your doc will treat you for coinfections based on the symptoms you report. Some lyme docs just go by symptoms.

How come Labcorp is so crappy for this kind of testing. Dont all labs have to follow the same thing??? My lyme test thru lapcorp came up positive.

There are many things for which the tests just are not all that good - it's the way that many bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoa, prions, etc. are emensely more evolved and stealth in nature to evade testing on some piece of machinery in a laboratory that expects things to always look exactly the same.
Let your LLMD guide you in this matter. Better to have his/her experience and wisdom. -

For babesia duncani: Sonoma County Public Health Lab. I think insurance will probably cover it. It isn't labelled as "IgG" or "IgM", it is just a titer.
Also, Labcorp's babesia WA-1 (which is the same as duncani) comes up positive for quite a few people....so if that one didn't show positive for you, it may not be worth retesting. I dunno.
Or you could JUST get the babesia FISH done at Igenex. That should ideally be the only babs test you need, as Dr. H claims it finds both duncani and microti.
Or, you could just provoke the co's with things that kill them, and if you flare or get better, you can conclude you have it. Like artemisinin for babesia, and something for Bart like Bactrim DS or Nutramedix Cumanda.

My LLMD said to finish the abx im on now and come see him after im done the meds to see where we go from there. The only symptoms I have is tiredness and air hunger! Im just worried cause i know babesia can cause air hunger. So if needed I guess he will test me again in a couple weeks for the co-infections. Im so frustrated!!

Sounds babesia-y to me. Your doc may decide to do a trial of zith/mepron/malarone after your current abx.
For Sonoma Labs, will they do testing for people outside of that local region? I assumed it was for neighboring counties only?
I used local labs and Sunrise for my co-infection testing -- not sure if Sunrise is better or worse than labcorp. I think Sunrise just send their tests to Mayo, so probably not.

My doctor at the time was in NY and he ordered the Sonoma County test for me. I'm not sure exactly how he ordered it....I had the blood drawn in his office.

Igenex has picked up both babesia microti and duncani in my 3 children numerous times.
Specialty Labs (owned by Quest?) is a great lab for picking up bart hensalea and is not very expensive and is covered by our insurance. It found bart h in all of my children and showed the titers going down as we treated them.
Our LLMD uses this lab. He also says that it is good for picking up ehrlichia. We just recently used it for ehrlicia and haven't gotten results back, so can't speak to that.
