I am taking probiotics like probio denfense, UDO's choice, VSL#3, Florastor (1x2 day) and Renew Life Critical care and have started taking home made Kefir (THANK YOU VERY MUCH Feelfit).
When I use the rest room after taking probiotics I am having dark yello urine with odor.
Is this common or am I missing something.
Thank you

Not that I've heard of. I've been taking various probiotics for decades and have never had this happen.
Not drinking enough water can cause darker urine. Food dies or certain b vitamins might also be a cause. If it doesn't clear up before long, I'd have it evaluated because it can indicate other health conditions.

KPU condition causes darker urine. Anything you take containing tumeric will change urine to stronger color.
Basically, you want strongly colored urine and smelly too. It means your kidneys are filtering and you are getting toxins out with the program you are on -- light color is not desirable at this point. The toxins have got to go somewhere. Kidneys not as desirable as stool, because they can become overloaded very quickly. Drinking a lot of liquids all at one time is not as good as sipping little liquids more frequently, hopefully containing some nutrients to not rush liquids through but take time to metabolize and hydrate, rather than flushing through. This way, more toxins go the other way rather than kidneys.

Do any of the probiotics contain B complex vitamins?

Disadvantages VSL#3 was not designed for and is not specifically intended for weight loss. This product is extremely expensive. There is no official website for VSL #3 Those taking MAOI's, SSRI's, antidepressants, NSAIDS, corticosteroids or certain other medications may not be able to take product. Those who have diabetes, hypoglycemia, high blood pressure, cardiovascular ailments or certain other medical conditions may not be able to take VSL#3. Women who are pregnant or nursing may not be able to take this product. VSL #3 does not contain any proven fat burners or appetite suppressants.
I would ask my doctor - especially since this is a very expensive product and no website info available. I get very leery when I read things like that which is being taken every day!
No, Healthy, I do not take PM. But my e-mail is all over the Allergie Immun thread - check the last few days. I will be happy to respond. You might also check out that thread because it covers the very area you seem to have a problem with.
Good luck and take care.

VSL # 3 can be used to make your own yogurt, and that way you dont have to keep buying it. It is one of the most potent available and is very important if you are on Lyme treatment. I have never heard anything negative about its use. There also does not seem to be any known interaction between VSL#3 and SSRI's, etc.
GiGi, can you please cite your sources as to the disadvantages you listed above.
It is not meant for weight loss,of course not, it is a probiotic and it is tested for potency, unlike many other brands.

4 cups of fresh, organic 2% milk 1/3 cup of powdered milk 1 packet VSL # 3 or 1/2 cup organic 2% plain VSL # 3 yogurt
Slowly heat the milk on the stove over low-medium heat. At this point you can choose to add powdered milk. Powdered milk creates thicker yogurt that takes less time to ferment. It's optional if you are using whole milk or two percent. Some skim and one percent milk include added milk proteins which make the product taste less watery and will behave the same way as if you added powdered milk.
For your first batch we are going to go with two-percent milk plus 1/3 cup of powdered milk. This combination of milk with the powder will produce a delicious, basic yogurt.
The most tedious thing about making yogurt is watching the milk get hot. You need it to hit 170 degrees, but not have it boil. So you want to pay attention to the pot and have a thermometer at hand. Once you've hit the target temperature, remove from heat and then wait for the milk to cool. Unless you put the pot in the refrigerator it will take some time to cool to 108-112 degrees.
If you are using existing yogurt as a starter, use your last batch of VSL # 3 yogurt for a starter, or a new packet of VSL # 3 if you are just starting out, and have it ready.
When the milk is cooled to the proper temperature, mix a small amount of the VSL #3 with the yogurt. This will break up the yogurt and makes blending it with the rest of the milk easier. Once you add the VSL#3, the milk can be placed in the yogurt maker for four to eight hours. Refrigerate before serving. Makes one quart.
