Yeast is NO fun!

Are you taking probiotics? Are you on a sugar free diet? Gluten free diet?

I'm taking probiotics and eating sugar free diet just one or two green aples a day, but I eat whole grain bread almost everyday.

Shuld I continue to take antibiotcs or stay away from them till yeast is treated.
And what works for most of people to ease the yeast problem or kill it.

I would ask your Dr what they think first about making any changes to your antibiotic schedule.

What kind of probiotics are you taking and how many a day?

Different things work for different people. Yeast is very hard to get rid of once it sets in.

I was taking Nystatin.

I would check into a gluten free diet as well.

Take oil of oregano drops on the tongue. It could help. It is an anti-fungal..I have experience with it

What about the antibiotics should I take or not them.
I'm afraid my LLMD will not call back before 3-7 days.
I was in a slow progress now scared for my life.

I personally would not stop the abx. Never did during 4 yrs of treatment. (correction.. never stopped because of yeast)

The oil of oregano sounds like a good solution. You can also ask dr about Mycelex lozenges.

I never stopped antibiotics due to yeast. I got it quite a few times. My doc never wanted me to stop due to this.

He didn't allow me to eat bread or anything made with flour. And, I didn't eat fruit either. So, I was more strict than you with the carbs.

You can scrub your mouth (especially tongue, using toothbrush) with peroxide and then open a probiotic capsule and sprinkle it onto your tongue. Let it sit on there as long as it takes to dissolve. (Like 1 hour or more)

The doc said the peroxide will kill the yeast in the mouth and the probiotic will then put in the good flora in its place.

Plus, you still need to take the diflucan to kill the yeast in the stomach. Be very strict on your diet while trying to get rid of yeast. No fruit or flour products.

I keep getting a white tongue on and off. If I gargle with hydrogen peroxide, boy does my tongue fizz (so it's killing something), but the white on my tongue usually remains, and after I do this, my gums and tongue edges begin to burn and hurt worse than before I gargled.

I tried drinking kefir...also reuteri probiotics. Nothing kills my yeast, and I'm not even taking antibiotics right now. Wish I knew what to tell you.
