How long have you been treating?

I have taken zithromax, flagyl, biaxin, malarone, minocycline; and I think thats it. Never used amoxicillian.

After over a year of treatment, I then started taking Doxy. Maybe your doc just hasn't gotten to that one yet. Maybe other antibiotics will work better for you.

Everyone is different!

There is no single, correct treatment that fits every patient.

You can compare the works from various who have articles or books but - first - just ASK your doctor why he chose one path over another. Likely, he has a very good reason.

I see from a past post of yours that, 5 weeks ago, Zith was added. So, are you off that now then as you indicate you are only on Amoxicillin now?

I was looking to see if you have a list of articles and books about lyme. You probably got that in one of your threads and saved it to your file. If not, see the LYMEBRARY.

I started with Amoxil... How much are you on? How are you feeling?

As someone mentioned above ask your doctor... However, even Dr. B's protocol says that you can use Amoxil... Do you have it teamed up with Probenecid.

I take 3000mg of Amoxil a day and 500 mg of probenecid. The probenecid dosage is a little low but I had some problems with it causing me pain so I just split one pill in half and take it at different times of the day.

I also take 3,000 mg a day but I never even heard of Probenecid. Doc never mentioned it. I'm also on Zith-today I feel like I was run over with a truck. Also have stomach pains. I hope it is not C. Difficile

Amox is commonly given to women of child-bearing years that are NOT on BCPs. It's commonly combined with Probenicid.

Do you fit this description?
