and can it be a herx if most of your symptoms went away at first, and now they are really flared up?

A few of my symptoms that went away right away are now coming out again. Not sure if it's a herx or maybe the bacteria is getting resistant to the drugs and not working anymore? I hope it's the former

--------------------
First Symptom 9/09
Multiple docs, negative Labcorp test
LLMD: 1/10
Positive Igenex/CDC test
Treatment 2/10
2/10-8/10 Amox, ceftin, zith, flagyl
Currently: Bicillin, Minocycline, still dealing with severe breathing issues

I am on month 6 of treatment I am going through what I think is my first real herx, or this is just a really bad flareup? I have been getting better with treatment and eliminated quite a few symptoms, but these past days it feels like every symptom I have ever had is rearing its ugly head with a vengeance.

you can herx on just one pill, although i've heard normally it's about 3-4 weeks.

i think it's really individual and a lot of that depends on how heavy your lyme load is.

Olaf, I'm sure if we just ride out this herx or flareup, we'll be fine on the other side.

HAve you changes Abx recently? that could explain it. Switching from one combo to a more effective one can cause a herx where there wasn't one before.

If not I still think its just a herx. I've herxed 18 months into treatment. Lyme/bart loads can matter. Lyme forms (spirochete/L/cyst) can as well. If you've been getting at the spiros for a while then switch meds to get at the other forms logic suggests that you should definitely herx.

I'm sure you'll be fine. If it is a recurrence of symptoms you should talk to your Doc about options for adding/switching abx to see if something else could get you to the next level...

Did not change medications at all. That is why it is troubling me. Also having stomach issues now so that is another worry. I feel like giving up. I hate my life so much right now
