My LLMD prescribed Amoxicillin, Biaxin and prevacid for the treatment. I have amoxi at home and was able to fill up the biaxin today.
The pharmacy did not fill the Prevacid because the insurence did not accept to cover and the pharmacy people called the doctors office and did not get any response.
So my question is
Can I take the abx what I have now. Do I need to wait until the doctor office responds or can I buy the prevacid by aying out of pocket. Obviously if it is cheap.

I have been through H.pylori treatment a couple times.
You can buy Prevacid over the counter now OR you could use Prilosec it also is sold OTC.
Biaxin/amoxi/PPI (Prevacid or Prilosec) should all be taken at the same time together twice per day.
You could start the abx, it wouldn't hurt, but get on a PPI in the next day or two to keep acid down in the stomach so it can heal.
I'm having problems with mucous from antibiotics, I have chest-tightness, throat-tightness, voice changes, breathlessness.

You can use any PPI, it does not have to be prevacid. The main sx of h.pylori is nausea.

When my baby was 3 months old I got heartburn, nausea and vomiting. I was not able to keep anything in my stomach.
My GP told me to use Zantac but it did not help. So he told me to use Prilosec and I was doing fine within 2 days. Until last 1 or 2 months I did not had nausea.
Do I need to take the abx and PPI on the empty stomach. The reason I ask is I used to take Prilosec on the empty stomach.
I take thyroid medication as soon as I wake up and wait until 1 hr before having breakfast. So if I need to take the abx on empty stomach, how long do I need to wait to eat and how much apart the thyroid medication and abx to be taken.

Take the prilosec first hing in the am on an empty stomach then wait 30 minutes before you eat and take the amoxy/biaxin with food.

H.pylori for me was a constellation of symptoms. Severe stomach/intestinal cramping, nausea, intestinal bubbling especially after eating or drinking anything, gas, loose bowels and ever increasing "allergies" to foods and ultimately weight loss. It increased LD symptoms body-wide.
When it is gone, it is absolutely miraculous.
I recommend staying on a PPI after treatment so you have less chance of it returning. I had H.pylori treatment and stayed on the PPI after the abx for the next year. I decided to quit the PPI and within a couple of months it was back.
Also, Not only is Prevacid avalable OTC is available in (prescription) generic - most insurances do cover it.
I have found Nexium to be the best PPI and Prevacid a close second. Although Md's will tell you all PPI's are pretty much the same, I have found for myself that some do not work for me as well as others.

My husband's primary symptom from h. pylori was reflux. He said he felt like someone was shoving their arm down his throat all the time.
The reflux just got worse, year after year, no matter what he did. We elevated the head of the bed, he didn't eat for hours before lying down, etc.
Still, it woke him up every night. He would be belching horribly and taking gas medications throughout the night. Nothing worked.
Then, he was diagnosed with hp and took the treatment (2 weeks, I believe). It worked wonderfully.
Gastro doc did an endoscopy (camera in stomach with biopsy) to diagnose. There is a breath test after treatment to confirm that you have gotten rid of it.

Nexium is actually the most potent PPI according to the GI's Im being trained with.
Carafate can help the stomach heal as well.
