Heart just doesn't feel right. I am currently on oral zith 500mg (2 weeks in). Got off zith IV 2 months ago. Lymes came back. Used to have brain fog. Now heart issues. Heart just flutters and skips every once in awhile. I am very sensitive to heat or temp. changes. I am thinking lyme is causing this? Ekg came back good yesterday. HR(57) They only measured for a few seconds. Has anyone else had issues with this?

Thanks
Krautz

I think babesia causes this and also parasites. Mine has improved significantly with parasite and babs treatment.

I believe mine did some wild stuff from electrolyte loss in treatment.

Once I started pouring the Electrolyte drink mixes

in - the ones like they make for vomiting and diarrhea it got a lot better.

And sometimes a pinch of salt worked.

It might be something you could try in case that is part of the problem.

Thanks for the heads up. I will try adding gatorade to my list of many things. I feel like it is starting to get better. But I just want to make sure. I am seeing cardiologist tomorrow. I am going to push to have a full work up done.

Thanks for the info

What is your dose of MAGNESIUM ? You can increase that to bowel tolerance and back down. Calcium is also important in balance to that. More here on what can help and what kinds of things to discuss with your doctor:

Ditto to Tutu and momintexas:
Zithromax causes me to have some palpitations/fluttering almost every time I take it. On the other hand, for whatever reason, Biaxin does not.

Mg helps me, too.

I've had heart problems before diagnosis and not on antibiotics. Skips, pounding, felt like flip flops in my chest, fast rate. I had 24 hr holter monitors, ekg's, cardiac stress. Nothing was ever found wrong. I take atenolol and that stopped the palpatations. I've been on antibiotics for a long time now and the heart issues have really settled down.
