Hey Melissa, I think/hope some of the crazy remarks have been removed b/c I only see one. Anyway, will try to comment later. Sorry for the trouble. But, great article. And, I think you look great (even if you don't feel so).

My goodness. What is wrong with people. I sure see the comments. I will register today and add something and directly contradict those people.
Who do they think they are and talking as if they have not compassion and do not believe or support and all the comments about weight??
My goodness.. DO not worry. This is NOT about you!! There are many who are just "not believers until it happens to them" I do not appreciate those types and for me it is hypocritical but sadly human nature too.
Hang in there .. I know you have been through so much and so much pain and suffering and are trying to help others.
I am shocked by those responses? What is going no is right?
HUGS
Blessings.
I hope you do not let it affect you but at the same time there is this article all about you and your out there with your photo and trying to help and people are ignorant ... That is one thing about the internet that has always bothered me. People just through out things and say things without thinking and not considering any ones feelings too and that is not how they would talk in person. At least present their case in an intelligent respectful way..

Don't pay any attention to people who make rude and ignorant comments. You are beautiful!

You rock, girlie girl. I commented and reported the a-holes for abuse. Hopefully "Ramon" will be gone by tomorrow. Your picture is stunning. You are a beautiful woman, great mom, and tireless advocate. I'm proud to have you as my friend.

Good Job sharing your story! The people with ignorant comments are just stupid. People who don't believe in Lyme are going to pick at anything they think they can find. I think the article was done nicely and the picture is great with you and all those bottles. I think that does make some people stop and think wow, you need that much for Lyme?

You could attempt to debate all day with that guy, but he's the same guy who responds to every article written about Lyme Disease. It's not Wormser, just so everyone knows. It's the guy who wrote the article for Quackwatch.
The guy is a dickhead. I debated him a few years ago and kicked his *** over about 10 news articles -- literally -- and he just kept repeating the same thing over and over inspite of abundant evidence demonstrating that his position isn't concrete.
That's what led to me doing all the research on persistent borrelia infection.

Thanks MB. I appreciate you telling me this.
I will have to let it go.
I am not good at debate. I get so mad and dont have all hard evidence. Not a good researcher

Props to you!! You are so brave and you look wonderful!
Most people that know that I have lyme think I'm crazy. My local docs don't even want to hear about it so I try not to bring it up. When I start telling others my story I can tell they really don't believe me.
Good job - we have to get the word out about this horrible disease.

merry, hon, it's not you. this guy wants the attention. in his mind he is right and no one and nothing will ever change him.
it's like i said, if we were in full body casts, oh yeah, people would say "you poor thing" but since they can't see it, they don't believe it exists.
sort of like God, isn't it? i bet he's an atheist too.
