hi, sorry if i am repeating myself a bit with these posts.
it seems like i have heard of ceftin or omnicef being used in place of amoxy for children (my son is allergic to amoxy).
i was wondering if anyone knew the dosages? the problem is we found a tick on my son last night (attached since morning probably since that is when he was outside with preschool class) and my only option to get abx. was to take him to an urgent care last night (llmd closed till monday). and she prescribed zithromax 100 mg for 6 days. will call my llmd on monday to try to get in to see her, but that won't be until next week.
so, just hoping someone can guide me with dosages and maybe i can get him on them until i talk to llmd. i want to do the right thing for him now.
thanks, maureen

I believe on page 18 in Burrascano's guide it says the ceftin dose for children is 125-500mg every 12 hours.
