I have not had a menstral cycle in 10 years.
Last night, I went to the wash room and there was brite red blood in the toilet, not much, but still there. Is there need for concern?
Is this part of lyme symptom?
Thanks for any information.

I just saw the gyny maybe a month/1/2 ago and(can't keep up on time)all things checked out A-ok. I will give them a call.

Just so you know, lyme can give you "menstrual irregularities."
Those are the words Burrascano uses in his list of lyme symptoms. Those words include things like: false menopause (yes, for 10 years or more), very irregular periods, lack of periods for periods of time, very light periods that are just spots, etc.
A gyn will not know this. So, for example, I was given the diagnosis of "menopause" by many gyns for many years. My ovaries shrunk to a very small size, I was put on hormone replacement, I didn't have periods for about 5 years, then I got monthly light spotting.
Once I got good lyme treatment, everything went back to normal and I went from post-menopausal to pre-menopausal.
So, if you know you have lyme, just know that it can mess with your gynecological system. If the gyn finds nothing, I would chalk it up to lyme.
Believe me, lyme treatment can change things. Poor lyme treatment may make a little change. Good lyme treatment totally reversed everything for me. First I had poor lyme treatment for 2 years. Then, I got good lyme treatment for 1 year.
Now, it has been 5 years since I completed my lyme treatment and I am still symptom-free, enjoying my life.
However, the 5 years without periods affected my bone density and I now treat for osteopenia. Each time they do a bone scan, they write on my chart that I had a 5-year period of time without menstrual periods prior to menopause. So, I want you to know that there are negative consequences if it is lyme stopping your periods. Your bones are suffering.
Once I got rid of lyme, a few years later I went through the real menopause.

TF... It's hard to say, My mother stopped having a cycle when she was 39(no lyme) and I was 39 when I stopped, then 1 year to day I had a period. After the one, I never had another period.
So, I don't know if my menstral cycles are hereditary or lyme.

Just curious... could kidneys cause bleeding? The reason I ask is because they have been aching for the last several days.

I'm 20 and haven't had a period in 5 years. My period stopped right at the time I got sick. Can anyone else relate? I haven't really heard too much about this, or how hard it is to reverse (or what it does to the body until you do reverse it).
Kind of something you don't exactly bring up at the dinner table!

MDW, I had a woman tell me once that she gets one period every year in the same month. This was years ago. Lyme was not an issue for her.
So, it does happen.
She said that the 1 period keeps her from being classified as "post-menopause." You have to go one full year without a period, and she can't do that.
Chronic, I'm concerned for you.

MDW- glad you have an appt- yes a bladder infection can also cause the bleeding too..ask the gyn tomorrow.
Chronic- it isnt good that you are so young and have gone without a period. When was your last pelvic ultrasound? What does your gyn think about the missed periods?
I can relate I lost mine for about 7 months when I dropped to a very low weight... the gyn I saw ordered a Ultrasound on the spot.after she got the results I was put on prometrium to bring on the period.
I ended up gaining the weight back and with that the period came back.
It is not healthy to go so long without a period.
