Tested CDC positive in Nov 08 with Labcorp (bands 23 and 39 positive on igm) and (bands 41 and 30 positive on igg). Was positive on igm.

Only had 30 days of 100 mg doxy.

Fast forward to present - symptoms are:

numbness on left side of face (not right)
tinnitus in left ear (not right)
muscle aches and burning feeling in thighs
tingling in feet and hands (mostly feet)
anxiety feelings that I never had before
fatigue
insomnia

Thank you,

Some questions to ask yourself:

What were your symptoms prior to your first diagnosis and what led to testing for Lyme?

When did your new symptoms start? Do you remember having a fever or joint pains before these other symptoms started?

It's highly possible that you have a new infection. I'd attack that strategy first and try to get a Western Blot test done. Make up a story, if you have to, in order to get the test done and make sure that you get a copy of the results.

This will give you a base from which to start. My son has had Lyme 4 times (starting at aged 8 to 19). I see that you live in NJ, which is no stranger to Lyme.

Audrey - thanks for the reply.

Prior to first diagnosis, I had some joint and muscle pains/aches. Actually, my oldest son was diagnosed which led me to get tested as part of my annual physical. I tested positive for 2 specific lyme bands on igm (23 and 39). Since then, I have gone around and around with 2 ID doctors, a rheumatologist and a neurologist and been tested 3 more times. The first 2 times, I tested positive on elisa and either negative or equivocal on blot. The third time was very recent and I tested negative on elisa. No blot. I know the blood tests are what they are. I just don't know if I had slow resolving lyme, still have it, am creating my own anxiety?

Thanks
