I got my test results back today....

IGM
Igenex: Positive
CDC/NYS: Positive

23-25 kDa +
31 kDa ++
34 kDa +
39 kDa IND
41 kDa +
83-93 kDa IND

IGG
Igenex: Negative
CDC/NYS Result: Negative

39 kDa IND
41 kDa ++

I guess I want to know if anyone can tell me what this all means(Am I positive or negative for lyme?). What is the difference between IGM and IGG? Also if there are any men here that have had Lyme affect testosterone levels? Thank you!

You are positive. Many LLMD's say either IgG or IgM

pos. is still pos.

Many Lyme patients have testosterone levels off.

Not just men. Prayers for a easy road to wellness.

Specifically, the CDC wants to see 2 out of 3 bands positive in the IgM for #s 23, 39 and 41. You have positive 23 and 41, so that qualifies you.

They want 5 out of 10 bands positive for IgG: 18, 21, 23, 30, 37, 39, 41, 45, 58, 66, 93. Obviously you didn't get close.

41 indicates a reaction with protein in the flagella (tail) of borrelial bacteria.

However, many Lyme folks consider that coming in with any positive Lyme bands indicates that we're positive. There's a greater list of Lyme-linked bands than these even.

Thank you Robin123. I was under the impression because I was negative on a titer test my GP gave me and if I was not cdc positive though IGeneX I do not have lyme......I should probably stop listening to my GP.

Your results are very similar to mine. on the IgM, bands 31 and 34 are "long term" bands that don't turn positive unless you've had it for at least a year.

My IgG was also negative.

bcb really? Bands 31 and 34 are long term bands? I had band 31 ++ but - for 34. Huh, interesting. Do you remember where you heard that or read that, I would love to learn more.

littlebit... My LLMD told me this. And I googled it and found an interview with the founder of Igenex who also said it. in the IgM bands 31 and 34 only turn positive after 1 year of exposure. They are "long term" bands.

I'm trying to find the interview, but can't seem to find it.
