Hi does anyone else here suffer from visual snow. I have always had very good vision but over the last few years i have constant snowy vision. if i look at a white wall it is covered in tiny black dots and if its a black wall they are white. I have lyme and co infections. Does anyone know if this is lyme related, if so which infection might cause it. I have had my eyes checked and i always pass with flying colours.

Thanks [Wink]

I have visual symptoms. Black floaters, things shimmer a wiggle a bit in the periphery. My eyes are much better this week.

I have lyme and co's. I think the floaters are from lyme, but a lot of the other eye symptoms were because the lyme gave me the inner ear condition called Labyrinthitis. This affects vision too.

I also sometimes notice light "patches" in my vision. It is like when looking at a light bulb...burn in or sorts. Very very faint.

It is better now than in March.

yes i get the shimmering too. I have bad tinnitus and my vision problems seem to be worse when my tinnitus is bad.

This was my first symptom. It hasn't gotten any better since treatment, but fortunately it hasn't gotten any worse. The only time I really notice it is when I am either looking a blue sky or a dark room. Others have had luck with mangosteen juice or powder to help reduce or eliminate visual symptoms.

wealdsteve...the shimmering is probably due to inner ear / labyrinthitis due to Lyme.

check out www.labyrinthitis.org.uk Look at the symptoms. I had "labs" bad in March and am still recovering. Of course, I have since learned that Lyme is what caused it.

I get static looking at the blue sky. I used to get it with other solid things, but that seems to have gone away.

Very strange symptom.
