This may sound like a stupid question, but could too much probiotics contribute to biofilm creation that might also help harbor borrelia? (I thought I read that biofilm could include mixes of different bacteria... not sure.) Or rather would more probiotics help crowd out borrelia? I haven't really researched the whole biofilm thing extensively yet. My son (5) has Lyme and he has been tolerating high doses of probiotics very well (no constipation, bloating, etc.), but I wondered if I am overdoing it. Can too much be a bad thing?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

I googled biofilm. There is a lot of info on it. I don't know much about it but my opinion is if he is handling it well just let things be. You are probably so overwhelmed , your mind is doing the "what If" dance. Don't do it, go with your gut, if something doesn't seem to be working, then question it.
Ican't imagine having a child/baby with this. God Bless you and good luck. One step at a time.

I'm sorry that you have to deal with this. I believe that probiotics can be overdone. Most likely it's not a problem in most cases. I have cut back on my probiotics.

Thanks Jasek... you are right about the 'what ifs'. I do it CONSTANTLY! It is so hard when you are making decisions for your child and so fearful that you'll do the wrong thing and make it worse. I would take his place (with the Lyme) in heartbeat if I could.
Thanks for the link Haley. Definitely something to think about.
