I was treated with various abx. in 2009, but have had chronic lyme, unknowlingly, since 1990.
Had gangrenous appendix removed 1 year ago.
Took Nexium for the last month for reflux, but stopped 1 week ago.
I was also dx. with gastritis, diverticulosis, hepatic cysts, hiatic hernia.
Have had burning pain on right side off and on for couple years. Today it has become constant, it is about 1" to the right of belly button and burns approx. 4" down and 2" across. On the pain scale, it is about a 6. Did not vomit but felt like I needed to, starting sweating and usual tremors.
HELP, no family around today. Going to bed, but will check back.

I just looked up belly pain on web.md and it says symptoms for appendicitis are...
"the main symptom for appendicitis is belly pain.

Then it moves to the lower right side of the belly.

You initially wrote you had a "gangrenous appendix removed 1 year ago" and I had read gangrenous gallbladder. Don't know where I got that from...
So this couldn't be your appendix (duh!) although it sure seemed to fit the description.
Well, that's good, I guess.
Has the pain subsided? Will you keep us updated? Praying you are pain free right now

Consider diverticulitis (I saw that you do have diverticulosos). Although it usually happens on the left side, it can be on the right as well. Means that something got caught in a pocket in your intestine and caused inflammation/infection. If you get a fever, go to the ER right away. I would definitely get it checked out just in case....it can be very serious. Symptoms sound familiar-I jsut had a diverticulitis attack in March!

I had episodes of abdominal pain for years. Nothing was ever found by gyn, gastro, ER, etc.
All of these episodes went away when I got good treatment for lyme, babesiosis, and bartonella.
I blame the bartonella for this particular symptom. It is known to cause abdominal pain.
Here's how Burrascano describes it:
"GI involvement may present as gastritis or abdominal pain (mesenteric adenitis)." (p.26)

When I was hitting bartonella hard with Rifampin and Doxy I had these exact symptoms for 2-3 weeks, every single day. At one point thought my appendix was shot. Nothing was found, many a nights in the ER. Good times, Bartonella my friend.
It was the advice of someone on this forum (forget who you are but thanks) who was right on in saying, this was a symptom not another issue.
It cleared up.

My sister has colitis and a paper thin patch of bowel she was in hosp for over a week with.
If you already know you have bowel problems---If it gets bad go.
With diverticuli try not to eat things that can get stuck in there-like popcorn, beans, lettuce,etc.
If it gets stuck it can fester up to cause big problems that require surgery.
If that is what it is they can give you things that grease them up to get them out.
