I just started abx yesterday morning (doxy 200mg,biaxin 1000mg, plaquenil 200mg) X 2 daily. Also taking milk thistle and probiotics, per LLMD
I believe I contracted lyme ~ 1 year ago (bitten by dear tick) and spent time at a lake in Northern Wisconsin in june last year.
No rash or any symptoms after the tick bite. Began having lyme symptoms in December (anxiety, sudden onset of insomnia, then joint pain, arthritis, muscle pains and spasms, ringing in ears, sensitivity to loud sounds, jaw/teeth pain) among others.
Self diagnosed Lyme early april, saw a LLMD last wednesday, began abx yesterday.
One thing I have noticed with my symptoms is that they are more intense at the end/begining of the month, and are least in the middle of the month...in fact, I felt exceptionally good this past Friday.
I'm wondering if I will start to experience more herxing when the end of the month comes. Last evening, I definitely was more fatigued than usual and my jaw pain suddenly increased over what it has been the past week.
Today, I feel "lethargic". So far, I feel lucky that I am able to stomach the abx load, though I have had some diarrhea (though I have been having some diarrhea on and off the past few weeks without abx)
Sorry for the long post, I just want to give as much info as possible.
Not sure if the somewhat increased symptoms are a herx, or if I'll herx later with the apparent cycle of my symptoms.
