how long after taking doxy does the sun burn symptom go away...
i was hoping maybe I could not take it the day before and of I go to a theme park and not get burnt? maybe skipping 2 days of treatment would be a bad idea?

Probably more like a week. It took about 10 days for me that last time I was on it.

The half life of doxy is somewhere between 16-22 hours, depending on the info you read. So, if you figure that each day you're off it, that the amount in your blood halves; then after 1 week you'd have about 1.5% of your daily dose left in your system.
So 1 week should be sufficient. Posts: 43 | From Cleveland, OH | Registered: Apr 2010
