If you live on antibiotics, all different kinds, how could you get a urine infection? A quick stick test was done in my llmds office (who is a regular doc but ll doc) and it showed infection. Doc sent it out for a culture and was going to put me on levaquin, but just started flagyl and said it might cover it. My lower is bothering me, I though something was wrong cause cloudy urine and a month late with monthly cycle. Went for sonogram yesterday, waiting for gyn to call back with results, history of fibroids, cyst... I know not all antibiotics cover all infections, but never had this before. There's a first for everything.
Feel good.

Bactrim or cipro usually for bladder infections.
At least that is what I took.
Not all antibiotics cover all types of infections.

Drink lots of water & cranberry juice. Try to get the pure cranberry juice without sugar.
I haven't had a urinary infection in years. There are some herbs you can take for it, too. Uva Ursi, if I remember correctly. There are others if you look it up...

thanks all. Just heard from my gyn. Putting me on progresterone because havent' gotten my period in mos. Have 5 ovarian cysts. Am afraid to add a hormone to my cocktails of drugs, but not really a choice now. I'll try the cranberry juice and water for the infection. Feel good.
