LLMD said I will not get better until mercury fillings are taken out. I KNOW they are bad but

really scared about the removal since I have some pretty bad neuro symptoms. Don't know how safe it

would be, although I definitely wish they were gone.
What has other LLMD's said?

Sorry for all the posts today, haven't been here in awhile and have lots of new stuff going on!

I got rid of lyme, babs, and bart without having my mercury fillings taken out. My doc followed the Burrascano protocol.

He never brought up the subject to me. When I brought it up to him, he said that since I was getting better without having them out, obviously in my case I didn't need to get them out.

It has now been 5 years since I completed my treatment. I do not take any meds or anything else to keep from relapsing. I am still symptom-free, enjoying my life--the same life I had before my 10 years of hell with undiagnosed lyme disease!

Praise God!

My LLMD in California is in a clinic with a naturopath who has been doing chelation of patients for something like 20 years. Apparently the naturopath sees lots of success chelating mercury-toxic individuals without removing their fillings first. Fillings can be fairly inert, or they can be the source of problems in different instances I think.

My own experience:

I have elevated mercury somewhere, and I saw benefits from chelation and also saw it cause me big problems initially until we figured out the right dosage and regimen through some unpleasant trial-and-error.

I also went to a very mercury-aware dentist, who had to remove a couple of fillings that were causing other problems, and even though he took every proper precaution (dental dam, high suction or whatever it's called, and everything else I'd read about as 'proper precautions', as well as my using several kinds of mercury 'binders' at the time in high doses with much advice from my chelation-experienced LLMD)- I still relapsed after that dental procedure and was sick in similar ways as what would happen every time I did a round of chelation. I was much sicker at the time, and did a lot better with chelation later on when i was mostly in remission. The dentist admitted that even the best precautions can still expose a patient to mercury vapor in the process of removing a filling. I think I could probably handle that now that I'm feeling less ill, but at the time, it seemed to exacerbate my Lyme.

I am not an expert on this, but my feeling is that there's no way to really tell if your problems are related to fillings or not, and it sounds like chelation of body-burden mercury can be accomplished without removing the fillings.

I had mine out in 1991 and my Lyme went into remission for 12 years until I was bitten again.

Every BODY is different and we all have our own path to wellness. Go with your instincts.

I never had any of my old alloy fillings removed. I was great for 9 years now in between treatments. I work in the dental field. Again, we all react to things differently, and we all need to do what we think is best for our bodies. I'd get a second opinion, as it's costly if you do not need to get them out.

Lyme, Babs, Fry Bug..... Whatever it is, may a treatment be discovered to make us all whole again!
