I am worried about this latest symptom. I have experienced a few episodes where the vision in my right eye gets blurry whenever I lay down on my right side or my back. If I lay on my left side it is fine. The blurriness usually goes away after I sit or stand up for several minutes. What are those bugs doing to cause this??? The episodes are getting more frequent.

I also often feel "pressure" behind my right eye and get mild headaches there too, but these symptoms don't always coincide with the blurriness when lying down.

I have been to an optholmologist and everything checked out fine with him.

Currently on Zith, Rifampin, Amox, Plaquenil and Mepron plus a bunch of supplements and probiotics.

Thoughts, encouragement? I am so tired of one new worrisome symptom after another. Seems like I just got rid of the cardiac issues and now this on top of all the other generally feeling unwell issues. It's never, hey, my little finger hurts, wonder what that is? No, it's always something that makes me think, this is it, I'm done for!

Thankfully I go to the LLMD next Tuesday, but wondering if I should go see my PCP (who thinks I am certifiable at this point given my host of what he sees as unrelated problems)before then to get the ball rolling in terms of making sure there is nothing more serious than pesky Lyme rearing its ugly head again.

Thanks again - love the support and info we can get here.

It can be a side effect of plaquenil.
I had eye problems with plaquenil, also blurred vision and blockage of the vein.

If you read the side effects they say you can get eye problems and blurred vision is listed. Also mold can make blurred vision.

I personally would reduce the dosage a bit because I think it might be debris from die off blocking the eye vein. Just my interpretation.

Hi - I was able to get rid of all Lyme symptoms when I started drinking mangosteen juice, an anti-inflamatory antioxidant juice.

There are lots of brands. I drink the Ultra mangosteen one with 70 minerals added. You can find it in healthfood stores and online.

If you try it, go slowly, as it can be powerful. We're all different in how we respond to remedies. This one works for me.

Agree w/ Karen, except I'm not sure about debris.

If you're having NEW symptoms, it's best to check your medications.

You're on a lot of ABX.

I'm not a doctor, but if I were in your shoes, I would take a day-break from Plaquenil cause that's my first pick for causing eye problems. Then re-start at half-dose until I see my doctor.
