I had a vitamin c IV last weekend- 50 grams, I think. I had the worst herx experience from it- horrible irritability, crushing fatigue, awful sick feeling...
I've also been doing bicillin shots but couldn't even do it that night I was so sick. The herx cleared by Monday night and I did another bicillin shot. I had no herx from it, when normally I start herxing within 10 minutes.
I spoke to my LLND today and she said that the vitamin c does kill lyme. So, I'm wondering if I've significantly lowered my load. However, I don't really feel better overall- just no herxing on the bicillin. Anyone else have any experience with this?

Do you go straight for the 50g or ramp up to it? I didn't have that experience but the Dr ramped up gradually to 50g

I did 30g IV C once a week for 10 weeks. On the second week, I had a massive herx.
But then after that, nothing, so we stopped, it was just too expensive....

my bicillin herxes would hit hard about 48 hrs after injection. You sure it's not from the bicillin?

That is probably not a herx. Vitamin C does not cause a herx, only anti-spirochetal drugs do that.
It sounds more like you had an insulin reaction. Vitamin C drops your blood sugar to dangerous levels even if you eat before the IV. All the research I have seen, plus first hand experience shows that it does not treat Lyme whatsoever.
You can take all the Vitamin C you need orally, stop wasting your $. Trust me, I used to think it was the cure for CFS, boy was I wrong.
Show us the evidence right here that IV Vit C "kills" Lyme disease. Ask your LLND to give you links to the studies supporting this theory and post them here please.

Our LLMD has us take a Vit. C drip followed by a glutethione drip followed by a B12 shot every 4 weeks. The Glutathione is for detox and the C & B are to boost our immune systems.
I feel worse after them too. And my pocket book is getting very empty after paying for this for hubby, me, daughter every month. (Son will start this next month.) I wish I knew if it really helped or not.
The Vit. C drip includes Vit. C, Vit. B12, Dexpanthenol, Magnesium Sulfate, Pyridoxine, Riboflavin-5-phosphate, Vit. B complex.

There is no evidence in any of those articles about IV Vit C killing Lyme. I know the immune system benefits, I am a veteran of IV C myself, I used to do them all the time, up to 100 grams, they did not work or provide any lasting benefit whatsoever.
When I saw Dr. Burrascano and asked him about my past IV C treatments he said that does not work for Lyme at all. There is not evidence that it kills spirochetes that I am aware of.

You could try something like liposomal vit C as a cheaper alternative.
It's supposed to be *more* effective than IV, and it's cheaper. It's even cheaper if you make your own.
