I know some of this has been covered, but I can't seem to find it.

I'm struggling with the timing of my meds. I know I have to take my ABX away from the probiotics. But I also take Nystatin which may affect florastore. I also take grapefruit seed extract and oil of oregano.

Can I take my ABX with my Nystatin, Grapefruit Seed Extract and Olive of Oregano? that would make it easier.

Here is my plan

-6:00 am: 200mg Doxy + 500 mg Flagyl + 2 Nystatin pills+ 1 oregano oil + 1 grapefruit seed

7:00 am: Breakfast (take away from Doxy)

9:30: Vitamins, Theralac, Trufiber, Magnesium, etc.

Noon: Lunch...generic acidophilus

5:00 PM: 200mg Doxy + 500 mg Flagyl + 2 Nystatin + 1 Oil of oregano + 1 grapefruit

6:00PM: Dinner

9:00 PM: Florastore, magnesium

9:30: Bed?

Suggestions?

5/10 dx'd, after 3 months numerous test and doctors

IgM Igenex +/CDC +
+ 23/25, 30, 31, 34, 41, 83/93

Currently on:

Currently at around 95% +/- most days.

I am FAR from expert on this but I can give you my opinion...

1. My nutritionist said that GSE messes with some liver detox pathways and should not be taken with liver heavy abx. It could cause detox issues.

2. Oil of Oregano and GSE are both antifungals (amongst other things) and I always thought that they should be taken at least 2 hours AWAY from abx.

3. Nystatin should be taken AWAY from Florastor. Yes.

I hope that someone else chimes in but I think you may want to make a few changes in your schedule.

Maybe...

6:00 - abx
8:00 - Oil of Oregano & GSE
10:00 - Vitamins
12:00 - Lunch/acido
2:00 - Florastore/vitamins
5:00 - abx
6:00 - Dinner MORE acidophilus
9:00 - Oil of Oregano and GSE

Hope this helps.

wont taking doxy without food cause you stomach upset?

i thought I could handle 200MG on a empty stomach, found out I couldn't after a few weeks later. ended up having the most horrible nausea and threw up multiple times.

Take the Doxy with food, that is totally ok and it will help prevent gastritic and stomach pain.

I do okay (for now) with doxy on an empty stomach. I read it works better.

I have some discomfort which goes away once I eat an hour later.

I've been told it's ok to take the nystatin with the abx.

I don't take as many supplements as you but here's my new plan with penicillin.

5AM- Nystatin-Pain Pills-Penicillin

6AM-Doxy

11AM-Penicillin

1PM-Probiotic-Nystatin

530PM- Penicillin

6PM-Doxy

9 PM-Nystatin

Right before bed-Penicillin
