Has anyone heard of this or tried it?

Herbalist Mathew Wood talks about this in one of his books and has had amazing results with complete recovery in as little as a month for some very sick patients. It is supposed to be especially helpful for the arthritic pain.

I am taking a tincture with a blend of herbs, and teasel is one of them.

Since I have taken most of the other herbs in the tincture before, I think I can pinpoint the herx to being caused by the Teasel.

I am not better yet, but I feel my Lyme is slowly getting under control, thanks to a bunch of things I'm taking. Hard to pinpoint what's helping exactly, but I think it's a combo.

So anyways, my point is that I wouldn't doubt teasel is effective against Lyme....though I think it's like most situations with Lyme, where you need to hit it with a lot of things....in most cases, there isn't one thing only that will cure you.

It helps some; not others. Didn't do a thing for me but I have heard of a few others out there who found it helpful, as part of protocol. As Hossiers says, it is not enough alone, by any means.

Teasel is featured here:

Note -- The document is 81 pages long so it may take a couple of minutes to load.

I would balance that information with details from these other similar approaches:

I know of some who it has helped, I've used it and still do, it helped me to a small degree. Although I know of one person it helped a great deal. It doesn't help me much anymore (I'm pretty much symptom free), but I like using it as a form of prevention to relapse. I guess I like insurance policies.

Thanks everyone, I'll check out those links Keebler.

Bob, if you don't mind my asking, what type of treatments did you use that has brought you to a symptom free place? ABX? Herbals? Rife? A mix?

I can't use ABX, I've had terrible reactions to them.

First used lightworks then an LED like the bionic 880 called the PE1, liver/kidneys/metals/ detoxification/cleanses using herbals, homeopathy, diet, fighting infections from viruses / bacteria / parasites. I've been more spiritually oriented, getting closer to nature, I've created a garden this year and started planting vegetables. I take nature walks. I exercise working out 3 to 4 times a week.

I've used many methods, many of which I test using a biotensor, such as tinctures / supplements and homeopathy. One of the main methods, which I still think is very powerful is MMS. Looking back at it all, I think viruses are more important part of the disease process. It may rival or be more important for most then parasites. I know believe viruses suppress immune system operation more then anything.

If you look at many of the supplements we take, they tend to be anti-viral as well.

I think many of the supplements I used -- monolaurin, lots of coconut oil are really anti-viral. And because I didn't use ABX, my immune system was stronger against viruses.

So, what if I'm right, viruses have a much bigger role in our health. Then treating with ABX which suppresses the immune system might be contra-indicative to removing symptoms. So longterm use of echinacea along with probiotics while taking ABX might be in order. But is that enough to control viruses?

When I was first diagnosed, 3 months ago, and started researching Lyme, the most prominently talked about treatment was ABX.

I knew this was not the path for me.

I agree with you that viruses play an important role and may be at the base by suppressing the immune system which then allows the bacteria to get a better hold.

I also agree with the spiritual side, and feel that the key lies in a whole body approach, mental, physical and spiritual.

Thanks for your suggestions. I have ordered the MMS.

LLMD told me to use it; tat combined with A.D.P. emulsified oregano is at least as effective as any other antibiotic I hagve taken, and I've taken a lot of orals.
