For the past 3 weeks or so I have noticed an increase in nausea, stomach pain, gas, bloating, even burping and every other stool is loose.

I just tested negative for c. diff and my LLMD is taking me off antibiotics for a week to see how I will respond. He took me off of them before, but I got scared about worsening symptoms and only left them for a couple days.

I am currently on Mepron, Zithro and Ceftin. Are any of these known to cause stomach issues like the ones mentioned above?

Zith used to get to me pretty bad, so my doc switched me to Biaxin. I've been on it OK for a long while, but began to have stomach/intestinal issues with it a few months ago. I'm pretty vigilant about probiotics, but still it hurts.

If I go off for a week or so, the problems sometimes resolves. LLMD put me on Alinia, which really helps too- so I'm wondering if my issue- and perhaps yours?- is a combo of ABX +not enough probitics yet + parasite problems.

I'm on Omnicef (cephlasporin like Ceftin) and have experimented- alone, it did not cause any above issues for me. Nor does Mepron. Just my experience.
