llmd changed my meds and last week started on biaxin and grapefruit seed extract. I feel so sleepy that I almost feel like I am going into a sedated state or coma. had 3 four hour naps over the weekend whick I never usually do. Does anyone else take this combo and feel totally out of it? am hping it will wear off but meanwhile am trying not to fall asleep at work.

Sorry, can't help with the combo. But I'm curious, what is the GSE for? Did he say what it would be hitting? I know it is used for lyme cysts.

I am going to a practitioner who says that it can get rid of babesia too. It seems to be working.

I was told by the nutritionist that works with my LLMD that GSE messes with the detox pathways of the liver and should not be taken with strong abx.

I, at the time, was on Biaxin + a few others.

I am not a dr and would do what you dr told you...maybe just up your milk thistle, lemon water and other detox methods.

Good luck.

I'm thinking of adding GSE to my daughter's protocol to see if it will attack the Babesia.

Any idea of how many drops to start with a teenager? What do you mix the drops in?

My 9 year old daughter has been on Biaxin for a few months now and her LLMD has just added GSE, to begin attacking cysts. If she does OK on the GSE (ramping up very slowly over a few weeks), he will eventually switch it to Flagyl.

He said it was important to continue with the Quercetin and he added Fibroboost to help with the cyctokine reactions.

I'm so apprehensive about starting her on the GSE and eventually Flaygl due to her primary symptoms of constant pressure headache, dizziness and stomachache. I don't think she can take getting much worse.

My kids didn't herx on the GSE as far as I know. My 3 year old is on 3 drops twice daily in about 5 oz of orange or other juice and my 6 year old twins are on 4 drops. I am on 10 drops in water/juice twice daily.

It is supposedly useful to kill candida as well.

Interesting to read that so many LLMDs are now adding GSE to protocols.

LizD, sounds like this protocol is working for you--herxes--so be encouraged and try to stay with it until the herxes lessen.

My daughter didn't get any reactions from plaquenil nor tindamax, so I figure it can't hurt to try GSE. I'll probably start with 3 drops in juice and see how it goes.

Tick battler & Joah--What improvements have you seen with adding the GSE regarding Babesia, or has it just worked with cysts and candida?

I haven't heard anything about helping with cytokine reactions, so will have to read up on that and FibroBoost. Thanks for the heads up.

Hi all, I see Dr. R in Seattle. The gse is to replace flagyl, 250 mg twice a day or 10 drops in liquid form (so adult dose much higher than kids dose) . I take milk thistle, ashwaganda, quercetin but stopped the fibroboost as it made me headachy and a bit nauseous. The sedated/coma like feeling has suddenly lifted - assuming then its a herx. I am glad its gone - didnt feel unwell but was almost impossible to be coherent and be useful at work. Thx for all your comments - had no idea if gse was used at all by others. Sending healing thoughts to you all. Liz

Hi to Liz D and Hey Joahsark,
I see Dr. R as well. The GSE has been part of my
regimen for the past few months due to the fact that flagyl was the worst drug ever for me.
It is a powerful cyst buster. I definitely herx while on it.
Liz, I'm in South Surrey. Where are you and who
diagnosed you.

Tick battler, thanks for the info on your little ones, it gives me hope that she may not have a hard time. Do your children have headaches?

amomwithhope, I haven't started the GSE yet, waiting one more week until schools out so that she can be here with me, I'll keep ya posted though.

Jola, hello my friend, hope all is going well with the abx change.

so after 5 days of feeling like I was heavily tranquilised and sleeping all the time - suddenly it all vanished and I feel back to 'normal'. So guessing a giant herx. Never slept so much in my whole life !
