I started IV Rocephin 2 and 1/12 weeks ago. For about the past week I've experienced an increase in burning and tingling pains in my feet. I've long had this symptom due to Lyme, but am wondering if the IV Rocephin could be making it worse? Or could this be a herx? You thoughts are experiences are very appreciated!!! Thank you!

I experienced what you are going through when I did the IV Rocephin. I herxed about 5 days into it. My legs and knees ached so bad I cried most of the night. My husband prayed over me until I finally fell asleep. I also had the tingling and burning in my legs, heels, and soles. I wasn't expecting to herx that bad or I would have asked for pain meds. It did ease up over the next two days. I am now on bicillian IM shots 2x week. This is my second week and today I am experiencing the same symptoms, but not as bad.

Thanks JS! I'm glad to hear it was just a herx for you. I've been kind of freaking out that maybe the burning pain is the return of the intense burning pains I experienced before I started IVIG. I would give anything to avoid getting those symptoms again! Thank you for the reassurance!
