Hi I have to get a large amalgam filling removed on monday (by dentist using rubber dam etc) and have been following the Dr K protocol in taking chlorella - BUT is there anything else I need to take ?
He says to take 20 caps chlorella before procedure etc - is there anything else I need to take to get rid of the released mercury? thanks

For allergies toward heavy metals (most Lymenetters are allergies and cannot regulate toxic metals, i.e. cannot release them), see www.allergie-immun.de (English). I am sure you are aware of the Allergie Immun Thread that has been running here. Dysregulations aka allergies are a problem for most. That refers most of all to the allergies for toxic metals causing the body to be unable to release the metals.
In other words, if you want to make certain that your body can detox these toxic metals accumulated over many years, do the Allergie Immun test. This is how we finally are getting rid of them. Dr. K. is encouraging some of his patients to do the therapy and he is taking the therapy himself also, with excellent results.
Best to you.
Take care.

I hope the rubber dam isn't the only thing your dentist is using to reduce exposure. I would use a dentist that employs ALL of the following:
1. Rubber Dam 2. Rubber Gloves for Practitioner and Assistant 3. Positive Pressure Oxygen Respiration Device or Oxygen Supply with Triangular Nose Hood 4. High Volume Evacuation System (exhaust of which is either filtered or discharged externally) with clean up tip 5. Standard Evacuation System (Saliva Ejector) 6. Patient Facial Skin Covering to Provide Barrier from Particulate Debris 7. Respirators for the Staff 8. Utilization of Burr Rather Than Diamond Tip for Cutting and Chunking 9. Full Water Spray and Supplemental Water Spray for Cooling and Prevention of Vapors 10. Breathing Space Vacuum Evacuation System (this is the vaccuum filtration system where the patient usually holds the hose just below the chin) 11. Room Filtration/Ionization System
Many nds have their patients go through 6 weeks of work clearing the detox pathways in the body first since there is bound to be some exposure even with all of the aforementioned in place. And of course too, the chlorella and activated charcoal.

I would also recommending breaking up a few tabs of the Chlorella and swishing them around with water in your mouth then spitting out several times to help bind and remove and mercury residue in there. I do it RIGHT after in a restroom in my dentist's bldg.
Also recommended is a strong dosing of Vita C afterwards. I know some folks do IV Vita C following, but the dentists I see both say taking oral is OK. IV is probably better, I just don't have easy (or affordable) access to it where I am.

Vitamin C taken close to Chlorella time negates the effects of Chlorella. Make certain chlorella is not constipating for you. Take precaution.
Check out (google) Klinghardt Neurotoxin Elimination Protocol. You will find this fact mentioned in most.
