Hi everyone! I thought I might update you all. After two months of changing up my meds to go after Bart (rifampin + zithro), I am worse. Maybe, just maybe some of my anxiety has reduces, or that could be from taking more xanax... but now I have more numbness/tingling/coordination issues...

So, I went back to my doc and he said we needed to go back after the Lyme so he added Ceftin. Its day 3 and I feel nothing. I know, it takes time but it seems like all I do is wait for the inevitable continuation of symptoms.

Anyhow, he also said we havent treated babs so he wants me to take malarone for that too.

I really hope hitting all 3 infections at once shows SOME improvement, or at least, stops new symptoms because let me tell you, these new ones are terrifying.

I'm considering seeing another doc closer to me in NJ, since my husband now has a new job and cant take me all the way to md all the time.. if anyone has any recs for the BEST lyme docs in the NY/NJ area, please pm me.

How long does it typcially take to notice the med working for lyme?

Last time I had imrpovmenet from Biaxin/amox, it happened within a few weeks, no herx, just got better... maybe that will happen again?
well, thanks for listening. [Smile]

I hate to say give it time, but thats the only way is to wait. I hate playing with different meds. What I got better on the first 3 times on iv, I'm no way near my 4th time on iv. Feel better.

Takes a long time...

Wondering why you stopped the Biaxin/amoxy if it was working??
