Morning, I keep reading more and more regarding lyme and how it affects the left side of the body more.
I find it interesting as it's definitely my case. It seems early on when treating lyme, it affected more all of my body. Now about nine months into treatment making progress, it is more left side. Nothing major but still annoying.
Does anyone have any suggestions/thoughts. Does this effect you the same way?
Keep in mind I have left handed...so this could be some key?

I am new here so have no "professional" opinion or advice. That said, my symptoms have been left-sided for 2 years.
I've been treating Lyme for 3 weeks now and I'm worse off than before, with symptoms now on both sides, though still much worse on the left.
My llmd said this disease is often left-sided. I don't recall why, sorry.
Anyway...you aren't alone!

thanks for the insight Melanie.
You will get better. I'm sure you know, before it gets better, it can get worse with the appearance of new symptoms. It's just the nature of the beast.
I had wierd symptoms for about six months before the diagnosis last july.
Listen to the doctor, take the meds, probiotics, supplements. Get rest, stay away from alcohol. It's a very slow path back to health. It can be done...I'm not a 100% but most days 90-95%.
Even my babs is getting killed with the meds. I was skeptical at first but listen to people here. Sometimes, they know more than the doctors since they have been through it.
Take care, Janice

The only thing left is some odd twitching in my calves which is normal for having lyme.

It's funny that you mention the left side because most of my symptoms are occurring on my left side.

JKV, Thanks for the boost! I'm glad to hear that you are doing better. How long have you been treating?
I also have the odd twitching in my left calf--on some days, I've described it to feel like something moving around in a certain area. So strange. Not really painful, just odd.
I'm working on starting the supplements, etc. just have to find the cash to buy most of them...grrrr! As for alcohol, I haven't been able to drink in 2 years--so that isn't a problem!
