An amazing woman with an amazing story. Undiagnosed for 5 years and then treated with antibiotics, integrative medicine and live cell therapy -- not many have the $400,000 plus (the first 8 years of her 19 year journey) to try everything possible to beat lyme and tickborne diseases.

From an ethical and moral perspective this is the only type of stem cell therapy I would consider doing for hubby -- cells used are from blue sharks.
Of course from an economic perspective this is one treatment that will never be an option for him.

Wow Bea.
This is fantastic! Thank you so much. I haven't had time to read everything. I would like to look into this therapy. It's in CA so maybe I could go for a visit and check it out. I also will be following this woman's ministry.
I work with some of the top shark experts in the world. Maybe they can slip me a few stem cells

Bea, I wasn't clear on how much she actually spent on the live cell therapy -- she mentioned the 400,000 but that seemed to be for all of her treatments before starting the live cell therapy -- or am I confused?
Very interesting, and I can't believe this is not offered in the US!

Bea,
As I read Natalie's website, i understood she got the live cell therapy done in CA.
Although it didn't mention price, I understood that the $400,000 were for treatment before the live cell therapy.
Maybe you want to look into it more? Wouldn't that be something if it was doable and affordable for your husband! Wow, that would be so awesome!

There's info on the internet about Live Cell Therapy. You just have to do a search...
So, you can spend about $5,000 and go to Europe for live cell therapy or you can treat yourself with oral glandulars for about $10. Most people knowledgeable about glandulars believe that oral glandulars work on the same principles as live cell therapy, namely by providing the body not only the major hormone associated with a gland, but all the trace elements as well. Oral glandulars are certainly safer than intravenous cells from other species, which have the possibility of stimulating severe anaphylactic reaction and shock.

It was nice to read about the lady (Natalie Nichols) who got well but it has a bit heavy handed with the religious stuff.
They are ways one could accommodate this kind of therapy into a protocol without spending a fortune or going to Mexico.
The famous CFS doctor (Dr. C) is using a form of Live Cell Therapy in conjunction with stem cell treatments for his patients.
May be worthwhile to look into further.

I was able to read a bit more today.
The postive thing is that she has done this for over 10 years. If there were negative consequences they would begin to show by now. I don't know how many long term studies are out there.
The thing that concerns me is - when she stops the injections she notices a decline. I would think after this much time she should be able to go off of the treatment. Otherwise it is similar to abx but probably more expensive.
just my 2 cents

Probably less side effects than long term abx use....
It's an expensive habit, though. I guess if you can afford it, it's a good alternative to heavy drugs. The abx aren't cheap, either.
Might be worth while to look into glandulars.

I met her in person just before my diagnosis at a church she was speaking at. She is SUCH an inspiration. The reason it is "heavy handed with religious stuff" is because it is a Christian ministry.

IckyTicky - I know... It's a bit much if you don't believe in religion like that. Everyone has freedom here to do that - so, it's great. I'm just not into it. I appreciate that she was able to get well & it's working for her.
It's really expensive & most people can't afford it. It would be nice if she could start a charity or something to help others have the kind of treatment she has.
On the other hand, this treatment may not work for everyone... It can get very individualized with Lyme & company. I also didn't like that she was selling some products along with all the inspirational talk. I know people like their favorites & really believe in certain products but there's a link & she gets a commission...
I would have felt that she had more integrity if the links were on a separate site. She may be getting kickbacks from the clinic in Mexico...? I'm just a bit skeptical of stuff like this. It's a "free" country so it's not as if this were illegal but I did take note.

Seekhelp - Yes, I do study everything I can. I would like to get well & I don't like to take drugs unless I absolutely have to.

I'm pretty sure I saw a 60 minutes program on Dr. Velasquez a few months ago. Basically the "doctor" has very little training and they were defrauding very ill patients. The doctor and another man who served as the front man to bring patients turned on each other during the interview.
