I have had the tingling right where you mentioned. It is just like the tingling in the scalp, legs, etc. I even get the tingling along both sides of my lady private area. I notice with more treatment, the tingling all over is becoming less.
Like you, I never found any mention of this symptom in the unmentionable areas. But, yes...I have experienced it. I think it is nerve related. So, does my gyno.

I don't have tingling in the buttocks; but I do have major pain in those muscles. Sitting down always hurts.
I do have tingling in my legs though.

I think it's nerves. It can happen anywhere in the body. There's an LLMD in N CA who even specializes in treating pelvic Lyme dysfunction. I think it means we need to treat those ketes...

Sorry to hear you have had a bad tingling sensation in your head.. and now it is in your buttocks.
The tingling is in your buttocks I mean, not your head is in your buttocks... but I heard that does happen to some folks.
Hey, maybe we should call that head in buttocks symptom the "IDSA syndrome"?
May I suggest? Try a good chiropractic evaluation first. It might help.
Also.. if you go to the nerve source and apply ice it may help reduce inflammation and calm it down, IF it is caused by a nerve being squished by swollen/inflamed tissues.
If that isn't the problem and you ice it down you'll just have a cold butt, so no harm done.
Lyme can cause tingling and numbness... and a very painful neuropathy. You do want to check it out to be sure no more areas become affected.
Hope your butt feels better soon... and your head too.

I have that same tingling... just part of our weird disease.
If I get overly tired or stressed, then the tingling is worse and in places that are weirder yet. It does go away though... my first treatment after years of abx did get rid of it.
Yes, it means we're full of the 'ketes'. Keep up the treatment!

I've had that tingling as well, and burning in the buttocks. My Lyme-aware neurologist thought that was normal. His view is that Lyme triggers an autoimmune reaction, where the immune system then attacks your nerves, including the peripheral nerves. This most frequently effects the feet, but it can effect any part of the body. It has improved for me with IVIG (intravenous immunoglobulin) and antibiotics. Good luck!

I've had numbness somewhat like Florence1 and justchugginalong.
After my most recent bite a few wks ago, which was the first to my knowledge on my "seat cheek," I became completely numb on the top of one thigh, inside of that knee, top of the foot, with some ankle & shin numbness, too. That was all on the side opposite the bite.
Then that spread to even more disturbing numbness in my groin and across my pelvic region and privates. I was stunned and dismayed! Fortunately it lasted only about 1.5 days, but it felt like i'd been injected with anesthesia (like from a dentist).
I had a moderate size rash at the bite mark, and a smaller pink bite mark beside that.
I understand ticks inject some kind of anesthetic at the bite site. What on earth was that substance that could numb such a large area for so long?
I feel it was not a pinched nerve or muscle issue. More surface, like skin for sure and maybe myofascial level.
I yearn for detox! Just started working with my first LLMD last week and I'll see a neurologist in July.
