I have been sick for years. DX of Lupus, Bi-Polar, Depression, IBS, Diverticulosis, Spastic Colon, Migraines, Chronic Pain, Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, ect.
In May of this year I began to get terribly tired. Bone tired. My knees began to ache and fluid on my right knee began to return (drained several years ago).
I called my Internal Med Dr., she gave me a Rheumatoid Arthritis Dr. to go see. She was smart enough to run SEVERAL different virus test on me.
My ANA for Lupus came back negative, however, Lyme Disease was positive. I have been reading and reading and reading until I have made myself crazy.
Under the test Description for Lyme Disease IGG and IGM, Western Blot it shows 41KD (IGG) Reactive, B.Burgdorferi AB Positive, 23KD (IGM) Reactive, 41KD (IGM) Reactive.
Looking at other test descriptions: Parvovirus B-19 (IGG, IGM) Parvovirus AB B19 IGG was 5.0. Range should be <0.9. She did not say anything about this test. Does it go with the Lyme?
I am on disability and only have Medicare. I am into my 3rd week of Doxy. She told me after 4 weeks, if not better to find an Infectious Disease Dr., which I have read nothing good about. Any input? Am I going to die? My brain feels messed up.

You may be having a herx reaction to the doxy, where the bacteria die and release a lot of toxins at once, and make you feel sicker.
Brain fog is a Lyme symptom, which could be what you are feeling.
You need to find an LLMD (Lyme Literate medical doctor) as soon as possible, to give you the right advice and treatment. Post in "Seeking a Doctor" and someone will send you some information.
Four weeks of doxy is far too little to get well from chronic Lyme. You also need an LLMD's help to evaluate you for possible coinfections.
I would skip the Infectious Disease doctor completely--many people have had bad experiences with them--unless the doctor is a member of ILADS, which is unlikely.

I'm experiencing the same symptoms. I feel like I'm going crazy. I have confusion, anxiety, shakiness, weepy, surges of sadness. Most of these intensified AFTER I started the Doxy. I just finished 1 week.....I can't work. My brain is too scrambled, not a good thing in my line of work (mental health crisis worker). I feel terrible & I've not yet seen an infectious disease doc or an LLMD. Waiting on chart history to be sent from one doc to the next. I'm getting pro-active in my recovery. I won't let this beat me. Have you tried the Detox bath? I just started yesterday in hopes it will relieve my symptoms. Good luck to you.

I would find a Lyme specialist. Infections disease doctors are not very well trained on treating Lyme long term.
If you post in seeking a doctor forum, someone will send you names of docs near you.

Believe it - you can get back on your feet again. It is possible to get much better. The first thing you need is a good doctor. I was about where you are now a couple years ago, and I'm not entirely back yet, but I am much, much better. If you go on the doc thread here, you'll find someone good. It has to be someone good, a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor, as they say. All of what you experience though is normal to Lyme and co-infections, so know that. Keep hopeful!

I agree. You need a very good LLMD who can work you
around the virus' and get you well. Yes I said well.
It can be done so don't be scared be determined to get your life back.
But take it easy with the meds. till you get to a LLMD as safe is better than sorry.
Most of us are taking something to prevent yeast.
Probiotics to protect the bowels, and supplements to help the immune system as we kill the bugs...
If you are not up to the fight, it could do more harm so be careful.

Consuela, did you post in Seeking a Doctor yet? I thought I saw your name there but I don't see it now. I hope you were sent some names, if you did post there. An LLMD will help guide you.
Maybe in the meantime, take less doxy rather than more, so you can handle it. I am not a doctor.
And keep learning here, as you can tolerate it -
