I'm sure this has been asked here before but I'm kinda freaking out. My 2 year old (who we sort of suspect may have lyme from me, but can't determine for sure) woke up from her nap with a strange rash on her arm.
It looks like the beginning of a bullseye rash but doesn't have a clear outer ring. The center looks very much like pictures of bullseyes on the internet.
I really don't think she's had a tick bite, although anything's possible. I hardly let my kids go outside anymore for fear of ticks, so I don't know how she'd have gotten bit.
Is it possible to have lyme in her system and break out randomly with a rash?
I don't know what to do. I hate to wait around to see if this will turn into a full fledged bullseye. Also it's Saturday so it's not like I can easily take her in to be seen.

If she already had Lyme in her system... and then is stressed from the heat, an illness, trauma, whatever... then it could suddenly show a rash.
but.. I would suspect that she was bitten. Just my guess.
Take a pic of it and mark it with a marker to see if it grows.

I emailed pics to my LLND and she felt like giving her amoxicillin was ok. Luckily I have some leftover from when my other daughter got bit so there will be no waiting.
I really feel like it's extremely unlikely that the rash is from a recent bite. I really wonder if it's something coming out that is already there. It was really hot today, perhaps that was a stressor for her?
