Has anyone experienced extreme depression/anxiety from flagyl?

Ohhhh flagyl.... flagyl flagyl flagyl....

It most certainly does its job.
Sometimes for me, it did its job a little too well.

I first started with the generic (metronidazole). That was really strong, but when I switched to name brand Flagyl it felt WAY WAY WAYYYYY stronger.

Maybe something to think about???

but yes, others feel the same stuff. You're not alone on that.

Just finished a Flagyl pulse...so thanks for the reminder that I'm NOT really losing my mind! [Smile] Yeah this stuff is VERY potent!

Does anyone know if the depression/mood issues are a side effect in the general population (non-Lyme) as well?

Yes, I have read some posts from dental patients that were put on it for infection that have the same depressive and anxiety reactions.

I pulled this up again since Im having a lot of depression on my second week on Flagyl. I think its also near my 28 day lyme cycle.

My question is, does this depression require me to stop flagyl? Or is this something I have to look forward to for the next few months?
