Is there a General Time Line for symptoms to appear after a tick bite/or rash??

Are you safe after a period of time after tick bite if you present NO symptoms??? I'm hoping yes, but this is lyme.....and Lyme does what it wants to!

Hi, Jenn

I don't have the URL for this website, but type up Jensk Specialty Clinic.

I really liked the way he discussed symptom onset and progression.

Just a thought. Alot of it is what we already know. But, it is reader friendly.

Ok, one more note on the website mentioned above. When you get into this site go to tab that says knowledge base. From here is where you will find many discussions he has with his readers. Sorry, I have made a mess of trying to help you out.

I have no proof to offer but I think it can and does stay dormant for a long time in some people. My friends mom was told by her LLMD that he thinks she could have been biten as much as 20 yrs prior to her getting really sick.

I think I was bitten about 6 yrs. ago, had mild symptoms for years but didn't experience full blown symptoms until Dec 2009-Jan 2010.

I think it can lay dormant due to the immune system of the person involved. If the person has a solid immune system I think it fights it off for sometime but once the immune system is compromised for one reason or another Lyme will rear it's ugly head.

I've heard many patients (as well as myself) say they got a cold or got some other kind of sickness and never got better. Sickness and stress, plus cold weather can all play a role is Lyme coming out.

Again, all this is just my opinion and I'm nothing more than a patient myself

I think its possible for it to lay dormant, but not as common as people think.

Just because you get a bite 20 years ago, then get sick a month ago doesn't mean it laid dormant all that time. Maybe 20 years ago you got bit by an uninfected tick and a month ago, you got bit and didn't even know it.

I'm not sure that anyone's immune system is strong enough to fight off such a big monster as LD.

I think most people will get a bite and will be sick within 3 months. There may be some people that get bitten and feel bad off and on for many years until it finally goes full blown. I wouldn't consider that laying dormant though.
