I have been on abx for 1 month (Azith 500 mg). All of my symptoms have gotten much better except both of my knees ache even more and my left shoulder continually aches. I know you are suppose to get worse before better but just wondering if anyone else felt worse joint pain but everything else seemed to be getting better. Seeing the doctor tomorrow so hopefully we get a little more creative with the abx.
Thanks

After a 6 week course of abx, all of my symptoms were gone except knee issues. My MD chalked this up to "post Lyme syndrome", and said it would resolve in a couple months to a year. Three weeks later, all of my symptoms were back. Grrr....
I am a week into a second course of antibiotics and in the stage where things are getting worse before they get better. I am thinking I may require something more creative too.
Good luck!

I am now 6 weeks into treatment and I am taking Azith and Bactrim twice a day. My symptoms are much better except my knees and shoulders (mostly left) are making me feel like I am 20 years older than I am. Will this go away? I assume this isn't post lyme syndrome since I am only 6 weeks into treatment
