my temperature is low also. i actually went to the hospital because i felt so horrible. dripping sweat, chills, nausea and vomiting constantly. headache and my back was hot. the nurse took my temp and it was 97.1. from the way i looked they thought i had an raging infection. all my bloodwork came back normal except low potassium and high white blood cell count due to the stress my body was going through.
my doctor said i may have wilson's temperature syndrome. a big sign is if your basil temp in the morning is below 98.0 on average. does anyone know if lyme can cause wilson's syndrome?

Lyme can cause major thyroid issues and your symptoms could be partially related to a hypothyroid condition. Low temps with sweats and chills can be thyroid but the high white blood cell count should also raise a flag for current infection. Getting a TSH, free t3 and free t4 test on your thyroid levels could be a starting point---- but for sure Lyme can be a player in thyroid and "wilson's syndrome".

I did Wilson's Thyroid Syndrome treatment for two years, and my temperature would never stabilize near normal.
This was before I knew I had Lyme disease.
Lyme can really affect the thyroid--keeping the temperature low makes it easy for Lyme and company to survive.
Treating for Babesia brought my temperature closer to normal more often.

I've been taking detoxified iodine for a few weeks and it has helped raise my temperature. I'm going to ask my doctor whether he has a preferred type of iodine that I might use.
