Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to detox my body over the next several weeks? Epsom salt baths, lemon water, and milk thistle are the ones that come to mind.

I won't be on any abx at this time as my LLMD wants me to detox before starting again.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Those are all good. Add in the anti-yeast diet and you are good to go. You can also do diflucan if there is any possibility you have yeast.

Far Infrared Sauna.

Google sunlight saunas, go to their site and look for local spas + health centers that have them.
2 to 3 times per week would be good.

Hi jwall,

Here's a detox recipe for whole lemon/olive oil drink: into a blender, add 1/2 lemon(cut-up) including the rind and pulp. be sure to first wash the lemon well and scrape off markings from artificial coloring.

To the blender, add the cut up lemon plus one TBS of extra virgin olive oil and one cup of water or orange or other fruit juce. Blend at high speed for one minute.

Pour through a strainer (screen type) to remove pulp. Use a spatula to press the pullp. Discard the pulp. Drink it all at once.

I have read that it is good to take before bed because it will help you sleep and the liver dumps during sleep.

I haven't tryed this yet. I plan to tonight. Also I have read it is a gentle detox.

Great, thank you!

TF - I have had yeast problems. I do have diflucan. How many would I need to take to get rid of yeast? would a candida cleanse from Whole Foods work instead of diflucan??

Massman - does the sauna get really hot? I seem to feel really horrible when I go to the steam sauna at the gym.

TerryK - thanks for the link!

Thanks Ir26 - that sounds good. My friend who owns an olive farm takes a TBS of olive oil every day and swears by it. She also gives it to her kids.

The far infrareds overall are cooler than regular saunas. If you can find someplace that has saunas for one person you can set the temperature to what suits you.

Start at about 110 degrees for 10 to 20 minutes and slowly work your time and temperature up.

massman,

I've contemplated using infrared sauna's before... but have been told to be careful with moving metals around in the body.

Do you have an opinion on the subject?

I think even djf has stated that it set him back a lil bit.

Take 1 diflucan every day for 5-7 days.

If a candida cleanse from Whole Foods was able to get rid of candida, my lyme doc would have told me to do that. He is a health nut and integrates alternative medicine with traditional. He prefers alternative treatments whenever possible.

The fact that he had me do diflucan and eat the anti-candida diet tells me that he considers this the road to success.

It is very important to get rid of yeast before trying to treat lyme disease. Read in Burrascano Guidelines how to cleanse the mouth of candida.

My doc had me brush my entire mouth and teeth (cheeks, tongue, etc.) with peroxide for something like 30 seconds. Then, rinse with water, open a good probiotic capsule, and sprinkle the contents on the tongue. Let it dissolve on the tongue for an hour or as long as possible until it disappears.

This kills the candida in the mouth and then puts good bacteria in its place.

Candida generally starts in the mouth. Then, with every swallow, it is carried into the rest of the digestive tract. So, you always begin candida treatment by getting rid of it in the mouth.

If you don't put the good bacteria back in the mouth after the peroxide, the first thing to grow back will be the candida again.

Good probiotics are the refrigerated kind sold by a health food store. They are expensive.

For those that may suffer from the tradtional yeast infections of the vagina.............have you guys ever inserted the probiotic capsule directly into the vagina to treat the problem? If so, what were the results? Or have you ever tried inserting a garlic clove wrapped in cotton cloth? I heard this will help...I may need it after I start treatment on July 6th.
