Hello,

I currently have tinnitus (mostly in my left ear) that cropped up about a week after my suspected lyme onset...

I've been prescribed Doxy and Ceftin to begin treatment. What are your thoughts about the ototoxic effects of these medications?

N-Acetyl Cysteine and Milk Thistle are the big supplements that promote liver health, correct?

Thanks...

I just did a round of doxy for 5 months and did notice a lot of ear ringing that definitely got a lot worse towards the end.

I am now taking a low dose of ceftin. I have been taking the ceftin for a month and am about to increase my dose but so far I haven't noticed any problems with the ear ringing.

Not sure if the doxy just was bringing out symptoms/herx or if the doxy itself was causing the ear ringing. All I know is I had it on doxy and so far not with ceftin.

Hope this helps!

Oh and yes those supplements do support the liver.

Take Care!
