Hi, I've had Lyme since at least 2001 and suffered greatly. My daughter came home from camp and noticed a bug bite, a little itchy, and brusing around it. I know it is not a classic bullseye rash. Could it be a tick bite? We did not see a tick. Please respond. Thank you.

My rash was not a typlical bullseye. It was a black spot (looked like a scab) with a 4" diameter red rash around it. Quack said it was a spider bite?

Really? That must have been a damn big spider to leave that big of a scab. I know now that it was the ticks head, left in my skin.

Take a picture of the rash and get her to an LLMD ASAP!

Yes, it could be lyme, but not necessarily - especially since she/you did not see a tick. Lyme rashes (when they occur) can vary widely.

The "bruising" around it sounds suspect. Can you ask your LLMD for advice? Take photos. Can you email your LLMD a photo? Good luck.

See the menu in the lower left hand corner for rash photos (but, really, it could still be a lyme rash even if not pictured here):
