OK so now it's in my heart! How many out there have to deal with this as well? At least the weakness and indigestion makes sense now. I have to go to a Cardiologist next week to see what they say about all this. My LLMD is sending me to someone he has used before. I do not want to educate yet another doctor about Lyme. I want a Dr. who has done their own work to help me.
Thanks for the feedback.
Blessings,
justjan

Hi...i have had heart symptoms and now with the new info on the XMRV virus data is stating that is the engine behind the lyme.

Also Dr. Cheney of the CSF world has done major studies with Diastolic Cardiomyopathy which is found in almost 100% of CFS (which include many lyme patients). It has something to do with the left and right ventricle not filling up right and thus making the heart work harder. If you go to his website the info is there.

One thing that he has found is that on a stress echo CFS patients have a much higher ejection fraction near 80-85%. The stupid cardio docs just say wow your heart is working so much better than my other patients ...you are in great shape...well i was sedentary for the past 1.5 yrs and could barely get thru 8 of the 9 min test and that is what they said.

Come to find out that it is because the left ventricle is having to do all the work and it can be a major issue. As usual most of these ducks don't keep up on any research except saying here take a pill !!! So I am headed to Cedar Sinai in LA to see the best women's heart specialist in the country with a letter from my LLMD.

But check Cheney's site about this

yup to what skater8 has stated. My heart echo showed Diastolic Dysfunction Grade 1 with an ejection fraction over 70% near 75%, i think.

I had been an athlete prior to this crap, but at the time of testing was also sedentary for about 2 years....so the pheom. ejection fraction makes no sense....until one reads Cheney's work...

I don't know what they have found with your heart Jan? I do know that my ekg sometimes shows inverted T-waves too.

Dr. Martin Learner (CFS) Infectious disease specialist believes that the inverted T-Waves are an indication of a VIRAL infection in the heart.....

all of this is very disturbing and the run of the mill Cardio brushes off both inverted T-Waves AND diastolic dysfunction....b/c they are not up to date on current findings....

may i ask what your findings were?

Cheney, Peckerman and Learner's links are here - a 3 hour video awaits you. Also details about why, if an echocardiogram is done, you should also have it STANDING UP:

Topic: To everyone with CARDIAC symptoms please read !

You might search the authors in that thread for updated information. Cheney has his own site, so be sure to find that. But I recall that it's not open access.

You might locate articles and books for Stephen Sinatra, MD.

Hi Team,
I don't have all the details in my head to report. I am going to a Cardiologist who is Lyme friendly and will report all the details.
I am scared but I feel like I am headed in the right direction.
I am eternally grateful for my Dr.
Thanks for the feedback, keep it coming.
Blessings,
justjan
