I take valerian root with two Tylenol. Helps me with pain and headaches. It doesn't put me to sleep but it helps relax. I take it a lot. So I hope it's ok. Haven't had any problems with it; but then I have taken it for years....before Lyme.

I have also used herbal sleep supplements off and on with Lyme treatment. Different combinations have worked at different times. You might have to experiment with a couple supplements before you find one you like.

Randibear - please post if it helped you or not. I've tried many different sleep aids and so far have had no luck.
My latest adventure was Nature Made Natural Sleep Aid. It has the chamomile and passion flower along with melatonin, L-theanine, and lemon balm.
I usually stay away from anything with Valerian because I believe that is what gives that awful groggy feeling, at least that's what a health store lady told me when one product I tried made me feel really groggy and horrible all day.
I'd rather feel tired then the way some of these sleep aids make me feel.
Anyway, good luck! Hope it works for you and would love to try it if it does.
