My understanding is that S. Boulardii (the yeast in Florastor) is actually used to combat the Candidia Albicans yeast and help prevent candida overgrowth.

Florastor fights candida (and c. diff.) by giving it competition, the same way that probiotics help. They don't kill it, but they might make it more difficult for it to flourish. Florastor is a "good yeast" that is not supposed to cause you any problems or make you sick.
It won't hurt anything (as far as I know) if you take it together with Diflucan and other yeast-killing things, but they may kill it immediately, so that you'd be wasting your money.
I am on anti-yeast stuff, and my yeast is back under control now after a couple weeks of that. I am still taking my Florastor, more from habit than anything else, just in case it doesn't die immediately and might help for short periods. And because I have some lying around.
That is probably not a good long-term strategy, because my twice-daily Diflucan may be rendering it entirely ineffective. Some people take each on different days over the long term, if you are just preventing candida and not fighting an active flare-up.

Break them open or chew on them...also have some Probiotic Capsules to open up after placing the Sac on your tongue...works great for me.

You actually CAN get a bad yeast infection from s.boulardii so you have to be careful of that. Florastor is the one that is clinically tested for potency, so although other brands may be cheaper, you do not know what you are getting.
