If you have cognitive issues it will show up on a properly done QEEG. Dr. Preston use to work down the hall from Dr. Cheney the famous cfs doc and over 90% of his patients including me had abnormal QEEG results. Here is her link if you if you want to explore more about documentation of abnormal brain activity.
My results showed like most others that at times parts of my brain were going in and out of deep sleep/delta waves while I was upright trying to take a test.

jarjar what's a QEEG? One of my kids has to have an EEG, but I've never heard of a QEEG.

Not everyone with chronic lyme will have an abnormal spect scan, mine was normal and I only have neuro symptoms.

Florence1, I also had/have severe neuro problems.

I had a normal spect scan nine months after a brain mri showing three large and twenty small lesions, glad they did the mri test first otherwise after a normal spect scan they would probably have done no more.

Go figure!!

I see a neurologist September so maybe I will find out

Alana the QEEG is way more sophisticated brain mapping tool then a EEG.
