I wonder how other people are doing treating this and if your progress is similar to mine. I just can't knock it completely out but I am feeling a lot better.
Levaquin gave me tendonitis and I did not use drugs after that for 8 months during which time all the progress with levaquin was reversed. The herbs were useless.
Rifampin did not seem to help me - was on that for three months.
In Feb I started Bactrim DS with biaxin and then zithro. I had a big improvement the first month with less headaches, less shin pain and less anxiety. I began to feel more in tune with myself.
Now I am more motivated to do things and have more energy. Someone asked if there was something "wrong" as I was walking with energy!
But I am not well. I tried pulsing the abx with four days on and three off which must have given the bart some recovery time because I began to worsen with irritation returning and pain in my shins.
It seems getting rid of it completely is taking a very long time. Does anyone else plateau and then just sit there? Should I start a new abx or stick with this one? I don't know what else to try.
I would especially like to hear from people that have recovered and are no longer on abx. How did this happen and how long did you treat?

Not sure but wanted to add that my LLMD just gave me Bactrim and Biaxin to see if I have any reaction ..
so I guess this is a 'normal' Bart treatment

This is timely info for me; seems I may be having an issue with Rifampin (was taking it with Biaxin.) Maybe I, too, can explore Bactrim with Biaxin! Thanks!!!!!

I would be curious to hear peoples input on this. Bart is hanging in there like a mofo for me too.

The lyme seems to be under control for me. It is the bart that is so difficult to get completely rid of. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this plateau of recovery. It seems like I could take these abx for months more, even years, and not get cured. When I quit, or cut back, I am sick again.
