Hi, Can anyone tell me how often Bart cycles? I know that babs is 7 days.
Now it seems every five to seven days, the bart flares. Right now have a temp of 99.3. This cycle has been happening for about three weeks now.
Any insight? JKV

Babs cycles every 4 to 5 hours.... at least that's what I've been taught the last 8 years.
I believe Bart has the longer cycle...

I have never figured out a bart cycle. My lyme always flared with the full moon. I guess if I kept a daily journal I would be able to see the flares if they come in cycles.

quote:Originally posted by Beachinit: Quintan fever was caused by Bart Quintana and had a five day cycle but do not think this applies to Tick borne Bart/BLO at all.
Quintan fever, Trench fever, the bartonella quintana species does not care what name you give for it, it just causes illness. Bartonella quintana is transmitted by body louse, ticks, cats, and
a five day cycle is extremely common, especially for this strain.
Other strains, who knows, but for this one...
Mine is every five days, but each fifth day carries on into the sixth day, if that makes sense? So I get a flare every five days, but each flare lasts two days, usually.
Hope this helps
