Just wondering how many Lyme sufferers with hypoglycemia had the hypoglycemia start after they were infected with Lyme.
Also wondering how many of you have had your gallbladder removed as a result of the Lyme and whether the hypoglycemia problems started after the gallbladder removal.

- Ditto to SGK: I also have hypoglycemia. In retrospect, seem to have always had it but I was ill as a child. Gluten reactions probably also made me feel ill from certain foods so it would be hard to say how much of feeling icky could be contributed to any one cause.
Plan to keep my gallbladder. -

Became hypoglycemic many years after Lyme exposure. Now I'm insulin resistant.
No symptoms if I follow a very low-carb, grain-free diet. (Please don't bash my diet. It works for me.)

Became hypoglycemic around the time I first got mono or Lyme/Bart/Babs -- whatever came first.
Luckily no gall bladder problems.

Hypoglycemic since the birth of my 3rd child in 1980....but has gotten worse past few years. Gallbladder removed because of damage from IV Rocephin in 2005.

Hypoglycemic. Didn't know what was hitting me before a routine lab test at Labcorp.
Now I know what it is. Before I thought it was some kind of anxiety or something since the feelings are a bit similar for me, but not the same. I get real grumpy, out of it, and just not myself.
I think my hypoglycemia (along with many things) has improved after starting a methylation protocol (addresses glutathione depletion caused by a methylation block). The protocol is most commonly used by people/children with autism and people with CFS. The protocol can apply to many diseases.
edit: My gallbladder is ok, however, I am on Actigall and Rocephin. Surprisingly I've passed a dozen or so cholesterol stones and probably hundreds (or more) of pigment stones, and other weird looking stuff (such as algae looking debris) after a few weeks on actigall. I'm guessing my gallbladder was backed up and I had no idea.

I've had hypoglycemia since I was a child, but I didn't realize what it was.
A Five Hour Glucose Tolerance Test diagnosed it when I was in my mid 20's. My blood sugar went down to 43, and I felt like I was dying.
The test for Lyme was positive 25 years after that.
